Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) was released in North America in August 1991 and is a fourth-generation console. The SNES was a 16-bit console, offering some of the best graphics and sound quality of any system at the time. Super Mario World (1991), Donkey Kong Country (1994), and Super Mario Kart (1992) were some of the most popular games, each selling in excess of 8.5 million copies.
